Classes
Boys and girls age six and older, and adults, are welcome. Separate instruction is provided for children, youths, juniors, and adults. For adults, separate classes for competitors and non-competitors are offered.
Enrollment
One time enrollment fee - $25.00
Monthly fee - $35.00 paid on a quarterly basis.

Our club is a member of the United States Judo Federation and all members are required to purchase insurance through a USJF membership. The cost is $50.00 and is valid for one year from the date of purchase. A Waiver and Release of Liability and Agreement to Participate form must be signed by all students or parent/guardian of students under 18 years of age.

The cost of the uniform (gi) ranges from $38.00 to $81.00 depending on size and are available for purchase at the club.

Kikuchi Scholarship
San Jose Buddhist Judo club members actively engaged in the practice of Judo for a minimum of 2 years at the San Jose Buddhist Judo Club may apply for Kikuchi Scholarship for college. Applicant must be a member of the club during the year of graduation. Scholarship applicants must be graduating high school and are planning to attend trade school, business school, college or university, or any institution of higher learning in the current or next academic year.

Practice Time
Practices are held on Monday and Thursday nights starting at 7:00 PM. Please be prompt to help put the mats out. Youth and Junior classes are held until about 8:30 PM and the adult competitive and non-competitive classes are held until 9:00 PM.

Our Sensei (Instructors)
Our Sensei (instructors) are volunteers, and are not paid for the many hours they devote each week to teaching our students. Among the instructors, there are many years of experience and expertise. They are well qualified to teach and share not just attack and defense techniques, but all aspects of Judo.
