The San Jose Buddhist Judo Club is one of the oldest and most reputable Judo clubs in the Bay Area. It was established in 1947 and has produced many champions and outstanding students. The students have learned to use the disciplines of Judo to perfect themselves, to cultivate trust and respect from others, and to become valuable members of society.

San Jose Buddhist Judo Club is a non-profit organization and our sensei (instructors) are volunteers and are not paid for the many hours of work teaching our students. Our instructors possess many years of experience and expertise. They are well qualified to teach and share not just attack and defense techniques, but all aspects of Judo.

San Jose Buddhist was recognized as the largest USJF Judo club in the nation with 209 members as of August of 2007.
