We hold club promotions twice a year - May and November. Promotions are determined by criteria such as proficiency in judo knowledge, mastery of technical skills, attendance, and character. While participation in competitions is not obligatory, it often expedites the promotion process. Generally, promotion to the next rank is one to two years (or 6 months to 1 year for prejudo) and is based on the discretion of the instructors. Refreshments are served after the promotion ceremony.​
